Amaechi was speaking during the commissioning of the Deep Blue Project in Lagos state.
The minister said three panels were set up against him concerning the project, but he scaled through.
Amaechi however accused some Nigerian elites of being unpatriotic, and benefiting from the insecurity in the water ways.
He said the project is about the ability of the Nigerian government to secure its water ways, commending the effort of the security chiefs in the success of the project.
