The request by the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, was contained in an application filed by his lawyer, ROLAND OTARU at the resumption of consideration of the case today.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria contends that his client was not properly served with the court processes.
In his response, counsel to PETER ODILI, IFEDAYO ADEDIPE, who is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, requested for an adjournment to enable him respond to the motion on point of law.
Following the development; the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice ADAMA IYAYI-LAMINKARA who is presiding over the case, adjourned the matter to 17th January for hearing.
