Dakuku knocks Gov Wike over police report.

In a statement released by his DAP Media Team; PETERSIDE reportedly told newsmen at the Port Harcourt International Airport that the indictment of the Rivers State Government in the police report is one too many.

PETERSIDE recalled the alleged bribery of a former Resident Electoral Commissioner; attempted inducement of some high-ranking judicial officers, as well as the compromise of security officers as some instances of alleged unwholesome engagement by the State Government.

The APC chieftain, who is now the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, said such controversies were eroding the hard-earned reputation of Rivers State as industrious, responsible, decent and dignified people.

He also questioned the motive of Governor IKE for attempting to use the court to top the police investigation, if he had nothing to hide.

DAKUKU PETERSIDE said Governor WIKE and members of his party and government should have taken advantage of the police investigation to defend themselves, instead of running to court.

The former House of Representatives member called on the Inspector-General of Police to prosecute those involved in the bribery scandal to serve as deterrence to others.

He also called on Rivers people not to lose hope but continue to pray for the Federal Government under President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to turn around the fortunes of the country after many years of decay.
