Customs Hands Over 399 Seized Rifles to NSA

The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, says it has handed over more than 399 seized rifles to the Office of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, in a major move against illegal arms proliferation in the country.

The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed that the service had completed the coupling and detailed examination of the arms seized at the Tincan Island Port Command.

According to him, the seizure comprised 399 fully assembled Jojef firearms, alongside a significant quantity of additional rifle parts.
