But nearly two years down the line; the relevant agencies of the Federal Government are yet to issue the Cross River State Government with the Environmental Impact Assessment clearance to go ahead with the road construction.
Following the delay; the Government in Calabar has issues a two weeks ultimatum to the Federal Government to release the EIA report, failure of which it threatened to go ahead with the construction without the report.
The Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, JOHN INYANG made this known to newsmen in Calabar, alleging that some detractors were trying to frustrate the effort of Governor BEN AYADE’s administration.
