President Buhari made the plea shortly after he took the first dose of the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine along with Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The President described his decision to take the vaccine in public as a demonstration of leadership and faith in the safety and efficacy of the vaccines.
President Buhari also commended the effort and approach of the Presidential task force on COVID-19 on the fight against the pandemic.
President BUHARI and VP Osibanjo received the first shots of the vaccine in the presence of members of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, and senior government officials, among others.
