The centre was activated by the NCDC on April, 9th at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano.
But the Director of the Centre for Infectious Diseases Research at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Professor Isah Abubakar revealed that the center had run out of test kits such as reagents.
Abubakar said the shortage was observed yesterday when the Centre tested forty four persons and the reagents were only enough for forty as the results for the other four were invalid due to shortage of the reagents.
He explained that they have notified the NCDC headquarters in Abuja and expecting them to restock the centre.
