The Director-General of Nigeria’s National Agency for Food Drug and Administration Control, NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye gave the warning during a virtual press conference.
A who said there were reports of fake vaccines in Nigeria, pleading with the public to beware.
Adeyeye also said no covid-19 vaccine has been approved by NAFDAC, adding that fake vaccines can cause Covid-like illnesses or other serious diseases that could kill.
The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that plans are underway to receive its own batch of the vaccines in March.
