Governor Fayemi who is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF said this in reaction to the comments that trailed its inter-state lockdown.
He said it appears that the Federal government is carrying too much weight in the fight against Covid-19, adding that the 2 weeks lockdown will enable the states assist the Federal government effectively.
The Governor’s Chairman while appreciating the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, said the Governors decided to take responsibility because they feel the NCDC and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 are overwhelmed.
