Today’s FM Uchendu Ejiowhorwho was at the Judiciary complex in Port Harcourt reports that various court rooms were seen hearing various matters before it.
In Isiokpo Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state, Customary Courts sitting in the area have also resumed sitting with case file concerning Alakahia traditional tussle appearing before it.
Chairman of the Court, Enyinda Augustine who ruled on an application for stay of proceeding by Chief Robinson Agbaraka and four others against Alakahia Paramount ruler, His Royal Highness, Eze Daniel Ogbonna-Dodo and four others threw away the application for lacking in merit.
Augustine ruled that the court has jurisdiction to hear the matter and adjourned till 23 of June for continuation of hearing.
Chief Robinson Agbaraka and four others had asked the court stay proceeding or alternatively strike out the matter for abuse of court process.
