At the resumed hearing of the OJUKAYE matter today; our correspondent reports that the case files were re-assigned to Justice JOY AKPUGHUNUM and Justice CHINWENDU NWORGU; both of the State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt.
OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE is standing trial on two separate charges of murder and attempted murder.
When the matter came up before Justice AKPUGHUNUM today, the trial judge queried why the accused person was not in court despite being put on notice.
But the defence counsel, EMENIKE EBETE apologized on behalf of his client and promised to do the proper thing on the next adjourned date.
The matter was then adjourned to the 9th of February for hearing.
