The court also remanded one Favour Uche for her alleged conspiracy with one Dennis Chimiezie who is already remanded in a correctional centre for the trafficking of a set of twin babies who have now been reported dead and deposited at a morgue at the university of port teaching hospital
The trial Chief Magistrate, Rita Ogugwo also directed that the Chief Medical Director of UPTH, through the Police Officer in charge of the matter should on the next adjourned date provide the court with the whereabouts and relevant documents of the twins.
Chief Magistrate Ogugwo gave the orders and directives following the testimonies of the CEO of the Koko Home Foundation, Koko Crusco who alleged that the twin babies were handed over to her ill by the police on the 7th of June, 2021 and were confirmed dead at the police clinic on the 9th of the same June.
Today Fm’s Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that Koko Crusco also told the court that the dead bodies of the twins were deposited at the UPTH mortuary by the police officer who handed over the children to her foundation.
