Court in Rivers State orders Police to produce Beatrice charged for child theft and attempted murder

It will Interest you to know that Beatrice Ogunka who is on police administrative bail has flee after she was granted bail by police before the date scheduled for ruling on bail application by the court on a suit of child theft and attempted murder.

 

Imegu told the court that the police granted an administrative bail to Beatrice Ogunka who is the fourth defendant in the matter  because she was very sick inside the custody.

 

She also explained that their action was in other to redeem the image of the police by avoiding records of death of suspects in the police cell just as she requested for more time from the court to enable them search and produce the suspect.

 

The trial Judge, Justice Henry-Aprioku advised the police to intensify efforts in ensuring that the suspect is produce in court and adjourned till 19th of January, 2021 for report of the whereabout of Ogunka as well as ruling on bail application and who is the fourth defendant in the matter.

 

Our Correspondent reports that Promise Thompson, Lucky Nwakoma, Queen Chisom-Lucky and Beatrice Ogunka are all defendants in the case of child theft and attempted murder which is being Prosecuted by Rivers State Government.
