Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the presiding Judge, Justice Ben Whyte, adjourned the case following the controversy rocking the representation of the embattled Speaker, Martins Amaewhule’s led House of Assembly and Edison Ehie.
The counsels during the proceedings informed the court that they are appearing for two different sets of Clarks, who are also defendants, a situation which created a rowdy session in the court.
One of the lawyers from Ehie’s camp who begged to remain anonymous, told Today FM that due to the conflicting legal representation, the judge advised both factions to sort themselves out and return to court with the rightful person to represent the defendants.
You would recall that Governor Fubara had approached the Rivers State High Court to stop the Rivers State House of Assembly from proceeding with the impeachment process against him, pending the hearing and determination of the suit he filed before the court.
