Controversy Rocks APC over Candidates For 2019 General Elections

The dispute has now given rise to a faction of stakeholders opposed to imposition of candidates within the Rivers APC, with members spread across the twenty-three local government areas.

In a resolution that was read by WOGU BOMS before newsmen in Port Harcourt after a meeting that lasted several hours, the APC chieftains warned that if the right thing was not done, the party may record poor outing in the next general election.
Reacting to the development, the State Publicity Secretary of APC, CHRIS FINEBONE, said internal issues of the party are handled internally.
Also in a separate interview on a related subject matter, Prince TONYE PRINCEWILL who recently defected from Labour Party to APC, said leaders of the party should look beyond self and work together for the collective good of the APC.
The latest agitations within the APC in Rivers States come a day after Senator ANDREW UCHENDU assumed the seat for Rivers East in the National Assembly with a promise to represent all Rivers people.
