Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the third day of the protest was peaceful, unlike yesterday when the demonstrators were attacked with tear gas and water cannon by mobile policemen.
Instead, policemen were deployed to secure the perimetres of the Unity Fountain and ensured that hoodlums did not take advantage of the gathering to cause problems.
The protesters were also joined by some notable Nollywood personalities and the co-convener of the Bring-Back-Our-Girls group.
