Addressing newsmen, the Image Umu-Eyiba family Youth Leader, Gift Semeon who claimed that they have been neglected, also denied any form of consultation on the siting of OML 58 by the multinational.
Semeon assured that they will do everything legally possible to ensure that their inheritance is not forcefully taken away from them without due process.
Today FM’S correspondent reports that the protesters were however, intercepted by military personnel who made way for a representative of the company, simply identified as Obulor, who assured that their complaints would be related to the authorities for prompt intervention.
Obulor also hinted that they have been invited by the Ministry of Chieftaincy and community Affairs to interface with the aggrieved family and other warring parties for the interest of peace.
