Community accuse NDPR of marginalization

The Obumeze Youth President, Samuel Ikpe who spoke to newsmen alleged that despite over twenty years of NDPR of operation in the area, there is no development, empowerment and employment in the area.
 
 
Ikpe said part of their major concern is the appointment of a member of Board of Trustee who is not the choice of the community by the NDPR, who is not the choice of the people.
 
He called on government to urgently intervene to avert looming crisis.
 
On their parts, some women leaders, chiefs and elders complained that they have lost their crops in their farm lands, due to the operation of the company in the area, and has increased sufferings of the people.
 

 

The Obumeze stakeholders said they have written to Rivers State House of Assembly, Council of Chiefs in the Area, and threatened to use every legal means to ensure that NDPR should not deny their right.
