This followed the defeat of a referendum that was meant to solidify the agreement to end the world’s longest insurgency.
Reports say fifty point two-four percent voted against the deal signed last week by President JUAN MANUEL SANTOS and Farc leader TIMOLEON JIMENEZ after nearly four years of negotiations.
In his reaction in a national addressing, President SANTOS said he accepted the result but would continue working to achieve peace.
He said the current ceasefire remained in place, just as he had ordered negotiators to travel to Cuba to consult Farc leaders on the next move.
On his part; the Farc leader, TIMOCHENKO, criticized the No Vote, but said the group remained committed to securing an end to the war of over fifty years.
