Claims by Rivers State Government to have provided water across Eleme LGA not going down well with stakeholders.

The claim was purportedly made by the Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development, IBIBIA WALTER, during a media briefing in Port Harcourt.

However; some respondents said the Commissioner misinformed the public about the government water project in Eleme.

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR, GODSPOWER IGWE cautioned the Commissioner against playing politics with the life of Eleme people.

IGWE, who is a member of the Sustainable Development Goal Youth Ambassadors of Africa, said only the homes of rich and powerful politicians in Eleme are provided with public water supply.
