Justice MOHAMMED gave this indication in a speech during a special session of the Supreme Court in Abuja to mark the commencement of the 2016-2017 legal year and inauguration of twenty-two new Senior Advocates of Nigeria.
The Chief Justice said judges of courts with coordinate jurisdiction involved in the practice are being investigated and action would be taken against them accordingly.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria cautioned lawyers who write petitions against judges and other judicial officers to direct such through the National Judicial Council.
Justice MAHMUD MOHAMMED warned that lawyers persons who direct their petitions to the President of the country would be punished by the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee.
