CHIDOKA said the Igbo nation needs a new leadership that is in tune with the people and can champion the cause of the people through the democratic process.
CHIDOKA, who is seeking to become the next Governor of Anambra State on the platform of the newly registered United Progressive Party, UPP, expressed his views during an interview on a live television programme monitored in Port Harcourt.
On the controversial proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, by the Nigerian Military, the UPP governorship candidate in Anambra State said the right process was not followed.
But beyond the Igbo nation, CHIDOKA said the larger Nigerian society can achieve accelerated development if efforts are made to de-emphasize the quest for re-election by political office holders.
