Chidoka Asks APC To Zone Chairmanship Position To Southeast

Chidoka said the resignation of the APC National Chairman and Secretary has paved the way for the party to reorganise its leadership.

In a post on his verified Twitter handle, Chidoka said the nation’s unity could only be built on deliberate inclusive policies, urging President Bola Tinubu to rise above petty politics and renew the idea of Nigeria.

Meanwhile; the Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has emerged as the party’s National Chairman.

Kyari succeeded Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the party’s chairman, after a National Working Committee  meeting in Abuja.

Briefing newsmen after the NWC meeting, Kyari formally announced the resignation of Adamu and Senator Iyiola Omisore as the party’s National Chairman and National Secretary respectively.

Kyari further said in line with the constitution of the party, the Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter, will serve as the acting National Secretary of the APC.

While Adamu was absent at the NWC meeting, Omisore stormed out of the meeting presided over by Kyari, at the party secretariat in Abuja.
