The BBC reports that fans of the Chapecoense football team walked from the city centre to the stadium where they prayed and sang.
The team members were flying to Colombia for a match when their plane went down shortly before landing in Medellin, late on Monday.
There were seventy-seven people on board the ill-fated flight, but only six survived the crash.
The Brazilian government has declared three days of national mourning, while memorials have been held at football grounds around the world in honour of the dead.
