The Christian Council of Nigeria also advised the Federal Government not to be in a hurry to secure what it described as controversial foreign loan.
In a report quoting the newly elected President of the council, Reverend BENEBO FUBARA-MANUEL, the leadership of the CNN warned that the massive loan could ruin Nigeria.
Reverend FUBARA-MANUEL, who is a minister of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, spoke with newsmen in Abuja after 29th General Assembly of Christian Council of Nigeria.
The clergyman noted that such venture in the past had helped some countries and also destroyed other countries.
He said what Nigeria needs is a secured country that is free from corruption for progress to be made in the economy.
Doctor FUBARA-MANUEL promised to reawaken evangelism during his tenure, stressing that the Nigerian government needs to hear the voice of the Church loud and clear.
