The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Umana Okon-Umana who disclose this during his working visit to the commission yesterday, also expressed sadness that the NDDC is in debt of over three trillion naira.
He further warned that awarding and signing of contract papers without following due process in NDDC will no longer be tolerated by the government.
The Minister also assured that genuine contractors owed fifty million naira will be paid.
In his opening address, the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua said the commission still has the opportunity to correct all the wrongs done in the past with the cooperation of the staff, management and Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.
