The NNPC limited was incorporated following the recently enacted Petroleum Industry Act passed by the National Assembly and signed into law by the president which stipulates the transitioning of the NNPC from a public to a private company.
Delivering his speech at the event, the president expressed gratitude to God for choosing him to play a vital role in the development to the nation.
The President also commended the leadership of the National assembly for passing the petroleum industry act.
Speaking earlier, the Minister of state for petroleum Timipre Silva also commended members of the National Assembly for the role they have played in the energy sector.
