Buhari approves new security measures for South-South and South East

 

The President made the approval during the series of security meetings held three times in the last eleven days.

 

Those in attendance at yesterday’s meeting include Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.

 

The acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, who confirmed this to newsmen said measures were outlined to change the narratives and restore peace and order in the affected areas.

 

President Buhari also approved a memo presented by the National Security Adviser, Retired Major General Babagana Monguno, on the control of drugs, which he said are enablers of insecurity in the country.
