Doctor Ehanire said this in Abuja yesterday while fielding questions from journalists on brain drain in the health sector at the 17th edition of the President scorecard series from 2015-2023.
The Minister, however, said the exodus of healthcare workers was not peculiar to Nigeria.
The Nigerian Medical Association had, in October, said about ten thousand two hundred and ninety six Nigeria-trained doctors were currently practicing in the United Kingdom.
Also, the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors told journalists that there were only about ten thousand resident doctors left in the country.
