Bonny Chamber of Commerce Reaffirms Commitment to Boost Local Economy and Tourism

The Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture has reiterated its dedication to reposition Bonny Kingdom as a hub for commerce, culture, and tourism.

President of the Chamber, Constance Nwokejiobi, made the declaration after signing a partnership agreement with the Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

During the event, Nwokejiobi announced an upcoming initiative, the ‘1st BITE of Bonny 2025’ Investment and Tourism Expo, aimed at showcasing the region’s potential. She emphasized that the expo would serve as a platform to foster youth participation in entrepreneurship and economic development.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Rivers State NUJ Council, Paul Bazia, expressed his administration’s commitment to promoting development within the state. He also appreciated the partnership with the Bonny Chamber, highlighting its importance for regional progress.

The Bonny Tourism and Investment Expo, set to be held in two phases, is scheduled for June 9 to 12, 2025, and December 8 to 12, 2025, marking a significant step toward boosting tourism and investment in the area.
