A boat carrying 39 passengers has capsized in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, resulting in the death of 13 individuals. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday.
Confirming the development on Sunday, the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) stated that 26 passengers were successfully rescued during the search and rescue operation.
The agency noted that efforts are ongoing to ensure safety on the state’s waterways and prevent future occurrences of such tragedies.
