Following the development; the security guards have again cried out for attention by the state government over unfair treatment by the contractor that hired them.
Our correspondent reports that the security guards have held a meeting in Port Harcourt to review the situation and decide their next line of action.
The spokesman for the group, GODSWILL NWUKE complained that the state government and their contractor have not kept their promises.
GODSWILL NWUKE said the security guards are delaying their blockade of the model schools until the resumption of a new academic session.
On his part; the security contractor for the model schools, CHIJIOKE TASIE confirmed that the Rivers State government was yet to release funds for the payment of the salaries of the guards.
CHIJIOKE TASIE is the security contractor for model schools owned by the Rivers State government.
