The minister made this known at a meeting between the Ministry of Information and an Aviation Industry Pressure Group in Lagos.
SIRIKA said the level of work on the Abuja airport runway in the past three weeks shows that the re-opening would be as planned.
Meanwhile; the Minister of Information, LAI MOHAMMED, debunked social media reports claiming that the runway would be closed for an extended eighteen weeks.
The Federal Government had on 8th March, closed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja for six weeks, to enable repair works on the runway.
