Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has dismissed speculation linking Argentine forward Julian Alvarez with a move to Barcelona, insisting the striker will remain at the Spanish club.
Cerezo’s comments came after Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed that the Catalan club had submitted an offer for the 26-year-old forward.
The Atletico president maintained that Alvarez’s future remains with Atletico Madrid despite reports suggesting the player had previously expressed interest in leaving the club.
Alvarez, who is under contract with Atletico Madrid until 2030, has attracted interest from several top European clubs, but the Spanish club remains determined to keep the Argentine international.
