At least fifty-six killed in car bomb attack in Southern Baghdad.

Reports say the victims of the attack claimed by the Islamic State group include twenty Iranians.

 

The authorities confirmed that scores were killed and forty-five people injured in the attack, which destroyed the gas station leaving several cars on fire.

 

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister HASSAN QASHQAVI said about eighty people were killed, including forty Iranians. 

 

The Islamic State group claimed the attack in a brief statement, saying it was a suicide truck bomb.
