ASUU President, Professor BIODUN OGUNYEMI announced the suspension of the strike after a reconciliatory meeting with the negotiating team of the Federal Government.
Professor OGUNYEMI said the suspension of the strike would depend on the Federal Government fulfilling its part of the agreement.
You will recall that ASUU embarked on strike on 14th of August to pressure the Federal Government to implement the agreement signed in 2009 for infrastructure upgrade in universities nationwide.
There had been series of meetings between both sides over the past five weeks, leading up to 7th September when an agreement was reached on some of ASUU’s demands
