The decision was reached at a meeting by the UNIPORT Chapter of ASUU, on the third day of the industrial action.
The Branch Chairman of ASUU, AUSTEN SADO, told newsmen after the meeting that lecturers were being treated badly by government.
Our correspondent SANDARA KENNETH report that the ASUU Chairman appealed for public understanding with the lecturers for the industrial action.
He said the intended results would be in the best interest of university education system in the country.
