Our correspondent gathered that the hoodlums suspected to be robbers trailed the yet-to-be identified man to a commercial bank where he was shot dead.
An eyewitness said the armed men attacked their target soon after he packed his car in front of the bank, and tried to force him into the boot of their vehicle, before raining bullets on him.
The criminals escaped with the car of the victim, which is believed to contain an undisclosed amount of cash.
Meanwhile; policemen have moved to the scene of the shooting and took the body of the man away.
