April Allocation :FAAC approves disbursement of N415.7b to 3 tiers of Govt.

This was the outcome of the meeting of the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee in Abuja, which drew participants from the Federal and State Ministries of Finance.

 

 

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the allocation for April declined by fifty-two billion naira compared to the figure for the month of March.

 

 

The Accountant General of the Federation, AHMED IDRIS, said the Federal Government received one hundred and sixty-three point eight-nine billion naira.

 

 

Further breakdown shows that the thirty-six states shared one hundred and seventeen point five-nine billion naira, while the seven hundred and seventy-four local government councils had the sum of eighty-seven point seven-seven billion naira split among them.

 

 

Furthermore; the sum of twenty-nine point eight billion naira was shared among the oil-producing states based on the thirteen percent derivation principle.

 

 

Also; revenue-generating agencies of the Federal Government received sixteen point five billion naira to cover cost of revenue collection.

 

 

Meanwhile; the total amount in the Excess Crude Account stands at two point two-nine-nine billion dollars as at 23rd May; which shows a decline from two point four-nine dollars on 25th April.
