Appeal court dismiss 8 appeals challenging Rulings of Rivers Election Petition Tribunal.

The cases decided by the Appellate Court today involve disputed State House of Assembly elections and House of Representatives seats, in which the court upheld the previous rulings by the tribunal.

 

 

These include affirmation of the victory of AZUBIKE NWANJOKU of the APC who represents Ikwerre State Constituency in the House of Assembly, and FRIDAY NKEEH also of the APC, for Khana State Constituency Two.

 

 

Similarly; the Speaker of the State Assembly, IKUINYI IBANI, had his election by the Court of Appeal, following the dismissal of the challenge mounted by his APC rival.

 

 

Furthermore; Elder CHIDI WIYIOKA of the APC was equally affirmed as the lawmaker representing Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, just as the Court dismissed PDP’s DUM DEEKOR against the election of MAURICE PRONEN of Khana-Gokana Federal Constituency.
