APC Says Prolonged Political Crisis Stalling Development in Rivers State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has said the state has continued to suffer underdevelopment due to the unending political crisis rocking the state.

The position was made known by the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Rivers State, Darlington Nwauju, who lamented that persistent political instability has negatively impacted governance and development across the state.

Nwauju noted that the renewed debate over who controls the APC in Rivers State is unnecessary, stressing that the party’s constitution clearly places the governor as the leader of the party in the state, especially in view of his recent defection.

He further recalled with regret members of the APC who lost their lives during the last general elections in Rivers State, describing their deaths as painful sacrifices in the party’s struggle for democratic participation.

According to him, the party remains committed to internal cohesion and peace, urging members to focus on unity and progress in the interest of Rivers State.
