This comes on the heels of recent media reports and allegations of growing misunderstanding between President MUHAMMADU BUHARI and his deputy, Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO, with many insinuating that persons close to the president had demanded the resignation of the vice president.
The All Progressive Governors’ Forum and the national secretariat of the ruling party have however dismissed the allegations as false.
Lagos State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, PGF Steering Committee on Media and Communication, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, while speaking during the inauguration of the committee, said the alleged face-off in the Presidency was just mere ‘gossip’.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, OBAFEMI HAMZAT, also assured that there is no crack in the presidency, adding that the president and his vice have carried on with their normal duties in the last few days despite the alleged bad-blood.
