Instead; the Rivers APC said what it has noticed with Chief EMEH appears to be a smart but disingenuous method to deceive Governor NYESOM WIKE by presenting faceless, non-existent names and sometimes under-aged hirelings as defecting APC members.
State Publicity Secretary of the APC, CHRIS FINEBONE, noted in a statement that Chief EMEH was putting up the show in return for relevance and huge cash rewards.
FINEBONE observed that Chief EMEH, having returned to the PDP alone, organised some unsuspecting villagers in his community and took photographs with them, which he purportedly circulated in the media as APC members that defected to the PDP.
FINEBONE said Chief EMEH’s style is to bring in rented individuals from neighbouring states in buses to his expansive compound and making audio and visual images of them for the media as APC defectors.
He said the APC was not surprised that Chief EMEH had fashioned another dimension of political propaganda by creating non-existent defectors.
Similarly; the Chairman of APC in Omuma Local Government Area, CHARLES AMEHULE, said it was not true that any member of the party defected to PDP, as claimed by Chief GLORY EMEH.
AMEHULE who spoke in a telephone interview with our correspondent said two brothers who were mentioned by Chief EMEH had always been PDP members and could not be said to have defected from APC.
