Speaking on the role of the Federal Road Safety Corp in reducing the menace, the Sector Commander of the Rivers State Command, Corp Commander Salisu Galadunchi, said the agency has a safe to load program with a check list that certifies that a tanker is fit to load fuel from the depots.
Galadunchi, in an interview with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe said any unfit tanker that is seen conveying petrol may be as a result of compromise by his officers and the depot management.
Speaking on the recent tanker accident that occurred under the Okoro-Nu-Odu flyover, Corp Commander Galadunchi said preliminary investigations showed that the break of the tanker failed.
