GUTERRES, in his maiden message urged the world to put peace first in the New Year resolution.
GUTERRES said he is determined to make human dignity the core of his work ethics and to serve as a peace broker having witnessed the suffering of the most vulnerable people on earth in refugee camps and in war zones.
GUTERRES spent more than twenty years in government and has served as Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002.
GUTERRES will be assisted by Nigeria’s former Minister of Environment, AMINA MOHAMMED.
