The Special Assistance to the President on Niger Delta Affairs Retired Brigadier General PAUL BORO disclosed this on a television program monitored from Port Harcourt.
BORO who is also the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme said it has been difficult to sustain the programme considering the economic condition of the country.
He said the government is making efforts to create jobs and provide livelihood for the Niger Deltans rather of spending the money on a selected few.
PUAL BORO also disclosed that the current amnesty programme will wind up by next December.
Retired Brigadier General PAUL BORO is the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
