AKPABIO of the All Progressives Congress had challenged the decision of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which upheld the declaration of EKPEYONG as the winner of the February 23 National Assembly election.
The appeal court ordered a rerun in Essien Udim Local Government area of the state within ninety days.
The appellate court also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to withdraw the Certificate of the Return from CHRIS EKPENYONG of the People’s Democratic Party.
