AIG Omata made the commendation during a familiarization meeting with operatives of the command at the police officers Mess on forces Avenue in Port Harcourt, where he stated that crime fighting in Rivers state, which has a metropolitan city is not an easy task.
AIG Omata while commending CP Disu and his Management team, officers and men of the command for their relentless effort in reducing crime to the barest minimum, revealed that the IGP has being trying his best as it concerns the welfare of officers, especially the recent housing scheme which captures low cadre and also promotion of junior and senior officers.
In his address, the State commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, while appealing to the AIG to assist the command with more manpower, read the riot act against those killing people including police officers and warned that no killer will go free in the State.
Today FM’S Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the management team of the Rivers State Police command, Area commanders, Divisional Police Officers, DPO’S amongst others were present at the meeting.
