Ahoada West Chairman Presents ₦8.2bn Supplementary Budget to Lawmakers

The Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Eugene Epelle, has presented a supplementary budget of ₦8.2 billion to the Legislative Assembly for consideration and approval.

Epelle said the proposal, tagged the “Budget of Consolidation and Renewal,” is aimed at enabling his administration to fulfil its campaign promises and improve the living conditions of residents across the LGA.

Highlighting key priority areas, the chairman said the budget makes significant provisions for education, solar-powered water projects, healthcare, and agriculture. He noted that the supplementary plan is designed to close urgent gaps, particularly in the education and health sectors.

Addressing environmental and security challenges—such as perennial flooding, poor sanitation, and gang-related clashes—Epelle disclosed that a major allocation has been dedicated to tackling the recurring floods that continue to disrupt social and economic activities in many communities.
