Google has launched new Gemini-powered voice features for Gmail, Google Docs and Google Keep, allowing users to interact with the applications through natural conversations.
The new tools, known as Gmail Live, Docs Live and Keep Live, are designed to help users find information, create documents and organise notes without having to type.
With Gmail Live, users can ask questions about information in their inbox, while Gemini searches emails and provides answers through voice.
Docs Live allows users to describe ideas verbally while Gemini helps organise them into structured documents and first drafts. It can also draw relevant information from Gmail, Drive, Chat and the web with the user’s permission.
Keep Live allows users to speak freely and have their thoughts converted into organised notes and lists.
The features are being rolled out in English on mobile devices, with availability depending on the user’s Google AI subscription.
Google said the new capabilities are also expected to become available to Google Workspace business customers.
